If you’re looking for a roadworthy certificate, get on down to Zammit Automotive. As a VicRoads licensed vehicle tester, we are authorised to provide roadworthy inspections and certification for all types of vehicles.
From our state-of-the-art workshop in Werribee, we provide vehicle inspections and roadworthy certificates across Melbourne’s outer-west including Tarneit, Hoppers Crossing, Point Cook, Truganina and more.
Roadworthy certificates (RWC) are legally required to buy, sell or re-register a used car. A RWC may also be needed to clear a police defect.
A RWC shows that your vehicle has passed the minimum basic safety standards required to drive on public roads. It doesn’t guarantee the mechanical reliability of the vehicle nor does it take into account the cosmetic condition of the car.
The inspection focuses on all aspects of the vehicle that are essential for safe driving including:
If your vehicle passes the inspection you will be issued with a RWC on the spot. The certificate will be valid for 30 days and must be presented to VicRoads within that time period.
If your vehicle fails the roadworthy inspection, we will issue a rejection report and outline the required repairs, including quotes for the repairs. We can organise to provide the repairs for you and complete the roadworthy inspection.
If you don’t get the required repairs within 14 days, your vehicle will need another full roadworthy inspection.
If you’re looking for a fast and affordable roadworthy inspection, then contact the team at Zammit Automotive today.
